ways2braid tutorial #23 - How to do Ribbon Heart Pigtails

Ribbon Heart Pigtails

With Valentine's Day approaching, I decided to show you how to do a cute, festive hairstyle by doing two hearts with four strand ribbon braids. It would also make a great Valentine's Day sports hairstyle, as it holds up pretty well.

Instructions:

1. Part your hair down the middle and make a part again in the middle of each half
2. Tie off each of the top two sections with an elastic
3. Thread a ribbon twice the length of the ponytail through the elastic until there are two equal strands of ribbon
4. Flip both of them up under the elastic (optional: you could use a topsy tail)
5. Keeping the ribbon as the third strand, do two equally sized 4 strand ribbon braids in each ponytail
6. Form a heart with the two braids and secure with an elastic
7. Add bobby pins if necessary and enjoy this creative look!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
